Following SSU investigation, another traitor who adjusted russian missile strikes on Kyiv sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, a member of an FSB agent group dismantled by the SSU in autumn 2024 has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

At that time, SSU cyber units detained three enemy agents who were adjusting russian missile and drone attacks on Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv.

The main tasks of the cell were to pass coordinates of staffs, logistics centers and backup command posts of the Defense Forces.

Now, a 21-year-old Kyiv resident who, on russia’s orders was preparing to carry out attacks on targets in the capital, has been convicted to prison.

According to the investigation, the agent’s sabotage activities were remotely coordinated by an FSB military counterintelligence officer, the handler of the network.

The asset walked around the city and its outskirts, covertly photographing the locations of Ukrainian troops.

He then used a messenger app to send the data to russia’s federal security service for the preparation of new air strikes on Kyiv.

The SSU caught the perpetrator red-handed while he was spying near a military facility.

A phone containing evidence of his work for the enemy was seized from the detainee.

After the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
