Following SSU investigation, another traitor was sentenced to 15 years in prison for coordinating russian attacks on Mykolaiv

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine another russian agent acting in Mykolaiv region was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The perpetrator coordinated russian air strikes on the regional center.

For the enemy to be able to plot the trajectory of their missiles and drones “around” the Ukrainian Air Defense System, the suspect attempted to identify the combat positions of anti-aircraft missile systems and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.

For this purpose, the agent installed a hidden video camera in the attic of the multi-storey building where he lived.

Using the “observation post,” he recorded the military activity of the Air Defense Forces of the AFU during alerts.

The man was also tracking the approximate number and types of weapons of Ukrainian troops moving toward the southern front line.

The perpetrator transferred the collected data to his “contact” – Serhii Lebedev (known under the nickname “Lokhmatyi”), who is currently hiding in Donetsk and works for the FSB and russian military intelligence.

The SSU officers detained the agent in November 2024 at his place of residence in Mykolaiv. Comprehensive measures were taken in advance to secure the positions of the Defense Forces.

During the searches, a smartphone, video camera and flash drive with evidence of his undercover work for the russian federation were seized.

Based on the materials of the Counterintelligence Department and SSU investigators, the court found the perpetrator guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU officers in Mykolaiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
