Following SSU investigation, another FSB agent who coordinated strikes on Pokrovsk defenders sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on evidence collected by the SSU, another FSB agent, who operated in Donetsk oblast, has been convicted to 15 years in prison. He coordinated russian missile, bomb and artillery strikes on the hottest area of the front line – Pokrovsk sector.

The traitor is a 39-year-old repeat offender who had already served two prison sentences for robbery.

While serving his first sentence in a penitentiary in the temporarily occupied Makiivka, he was recruited by an officer of russia’s federal security service and was put on standby.

After his release from prison, before the start of the full-scale war, the agent left for Ukraine-controlled territory and settled in the town of Bilozersk, Pokrovsk district.

At the end of 2024, he was contacted via messenger app by an FSB handler, who instructed the asset to prepare coordinates for strikes against the Defense Forces.

The enemy was interested in the locations of fortified areas, firing positions and backup command posts of Ukrainian troops.

To collect geolocations for the strikes, the agent walked around the target area or monitored the movement of AFU convoys from the window of his apartment.

The SSU identified the perpetrator, documented his crimes and detained him at his home in January this year.

After the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
