Following SSU investigation, spotter who guided russian glide bombs at positions of Kramatorsk defenders sentenced to 15 years in prison
Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, another FSB agent who spied in Donetsk oblast was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The perpetrator directed enemy fire at the Defense Forces near Kramatorsk.
The SSU detained the agent at his home in a frontline district in early 2025. A smartphone he used to contact the occupiers, as well as ammunition, were seized during the search.
The investigation established that the enemy accomplice conducted reconnaissance near combat positions of Ukrainian troops and then reported to his handler from russia’s federal security service.
An anonymous chat in a messenger app was used for communication with the russian special service.
The occupiers’ priority targets were fortified areas, backup command posts, and artillery positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the frontline area.
The aggressor used the intelligence to prepare air strikes with guided aerial bombs and kamikaze drones.
Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
- 263.1 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
