Following SSU investigation, FSB agent who guided russian strikes at fuel depots in Zaporizhzhia sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, another FSB agent, who spied in Zaporizhzhia, has been convicted to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. He adjusted russian air strikes on local fuel and lubricant depots.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained him in June 2024.

On enemy orders, the traitor walked around the frontline city, tracked the geolocations of fuel bases, marked their coordinates on Google Maps and sent them to his handler via a messenger app.

The agent also tracked the intensity of traffic and the approximate number of fuel tankers, including those with military markings, located on the territory of the depots.

By striking the logistics infrastructure, the ruscists planned to disrupt the supply of fuel to the civilian population and the Defence Forces on the southern front.

A smartphone with evidence of working for russia’s federal security service was seized during the searches of the perpetrator’s home.

Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Articles 28.2 and 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed by a group, upon prior conspiracy, under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Zaporizhzhia region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
