Following SSU’s investigation, informant who provided enemy with intelligence on AFU positions in Kramatorsk sentenced to 11 years behind bars
The SSU continues to bring to prosecution members of the ‘L/DNR’ terrorist organizations, who fought against Ukraine.
As a result of operational and investigative efforts, the SSU collected irrefutable evidence of guilt of another aggressor’s accomplice.
The offender is an informant of illegal armed formations, which are part of russia’s Southern military district.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, this individual collected information on locations and movements of Ukrainian Defence Forces in the frontline areas of Donetsk region.
The agent was trying to identify combat positions and fortifications of the AFU near Kramatorsk.
The SSU detained the enemy accomplice in the course of counter-sabotage measures in the region in March this year.
Following the SSU’s investigation, court sentenced him to 11 years of in prison.
According to the investigation, the criminal is a local resident who voluntarily cooperated with the enemy.
The man was contacted by his classmate, who is a member of one of the ‘DNR’ terrorist groups in the temporarily occupied territory.
To this woman, the agent passed classified information on location of Ukrainian troops. She ‘reported’ the received data to the militants’ leaders and russian commanders.
Occupiers planned to use the obtained intelligence for missile strikes on Kramatorsk.
During the search, the SSU found mobile phones with evidence of communication with the enemy via messenger apps.
Based on the collected evidence, court found the accused guilty under the Article 258-3.1 of the CCU (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
