Following SSU investigation, court clerk in Chernihiv who justified russia’s strikes on Ukraine sentenced to 10 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service, a supporter of ruscism, whom the Security Service detained in May 2025 in Chernihiv, has been convicted to 10 years in prison.
As the investigation established, the perpetrator was a secretary at a local court who justified the war crimes of ruscists.
It was documented that in conversations with coworkers and on social media, she spoke in support of russian missile, drone, and bomb attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, and called for the continuation of the strikes.
During the searches of the official’s home, smartphones containing evidence of her crimes were seized.
An expert analysis initiated by the Security Service confirmed the facts of her subversive activities in russia’s favour.
Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111-2.1 (aiding an aggressor state);
- parts 2 and 3 of 436-2 (justifying, recognizing as legitimate, or denying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, and glorifying its participants).
In addition to the prison sentence, the convict was barred from holding positions involving organisational, managerial, administrative, or economic functions for a period of 10 years.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Chernihiv Office under the procedural supervision of Chernihiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
