Ukrainian statesman, former Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Volodymyr Radchenko passed away today. He headed the special service twice: from 1995 to 1998 and from 2001 to 2003.

Volodymyr Radchenko rose from Lieutenant to Army General and played a significant role in the formation of national security agencies, devoting his entire life to serving the Ukrainian people and Homeland.

The SSU leadership and entire staff express deep condolences to the family and friends of Volodymyr Ivanovych. This is a great loss for Ukraine.
