The investigation has documented additional crimes committed by the perpetrator, including public calls to overthrow the constitutional order and assassinate Ukrainian government officials.
During the proceedings, investigators recovered a sawed-off shotgun from a cache at the Lychakiv Cemetery, which the suspect intended to use for further sabotage activities.
The law enforcement apprehended the assassin in September 2025 in Khmelnytskyi region as he attempted to flee the country illegally.

Following his recruitment, the individual carried out various hostile assignments, including identifying and providing to the enemy the locations of Ukrainian Defence Forces and monitoring the movement of fuel-carrying railway echelons.
russian handlers subsequently assigned him a more complex mission: the assassination of a high-ranking statesman. Driven by ideological motives, the killer targeted Andriy Parubiy, a Member of Parliament and former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Following the murder, the suspect attempted to destroy evidence before fleeing toward the border.
The investigation further established that he systematically justified russia’s armed aggression, denied russia’s war crimes, and glorified the russian military.
