SSU detains another five ruscism agitators, including fellow party member of ex-MP Muraiev

The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended another five pro-russian Internet agitators who operated in Kyiv and Prykarpattia regions. They publicly supported russia’s war against Ukraine and justified ruscist war crimes.

Among the detained individuals is a 58-year-old former functionary of the banned Nashi party of former parliamentarian Yevhen Muraiev.

According to the investigation, the perpetrator administered one of the groups that popularized the party on Facebook. There, he regularly spread fakes about the Defense Forces and the situation at the front and praised putin.

The total audience of the online resource was 27,000 users.

Another agitator is an employee of a plant in Kyiv oblast who popularized the occupiers during conversations with his colleagues.

The SSU also apprehended an enemy agitator in Kyiv: she registered in the banned social network Vkontakte and supported russian occupation groups.

In Prykarpattia, a resident of the village of Bohorodchany was exposed for glorifying ruscists and justifying the temporary occupation of eastern Ukraine on Odnoklassniki social network.

Another person involved is a driver of a local trading company who during business trips with colleagues started provocative conversations justifying russia’s crimes.

Forensic linguistic examinations initiated by the SSU confirmed the facts of the perpetrators’ subversive activities.

SSU investigators notified them of suspicion under Articles 436-2.2, 436-2.4 of the CCU (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine).

The suspects are in custody and face up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region and in Ivano-Frankivsk region under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Offices.
