SSU detains enemy agent who adjusted attack on Kharkiv on 5 June 2025
The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another enemy agent in Kharkiv. He adjusted russian air strikes on the Defence Forces in the frontline city.
On 5 June this year, the enemy carried out a massive strike on Kharkiv using the coordinates provided by the traitor.
The occupiers attacked the city with russian Geran-2 kamikaze drones.
After the night attack, the agent visited the sites of the strikes to assess the damage and report back to his handler in russia.
According to the investigation, the spotter is a 48-year-old employee of a local car service station who came to russia’s attention through a Telegram channel offering quick money.
Carrying out enemy tasks, the perpetrator rode around the city on a bicycle almost every day and tried to identify sites where, in his opinion, Ukrainian defenders could be located.
The SSU cyber units caught the suspect red-handed when he was preparing new coordinates of potential ‘targets’ to be sent to the aggressor.
SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The enemy accomplice is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
