SSU detains Stremousov’s supporter who disseminated enemy propaganda

In Kyiv region, the SSU shut down a channel of disseminating russian propaganda.

As a result of operational and investigative activities, the SSU exposed collaborator Kyrylo Stremousov’s follower, who tried to organize a network to spread kremlin’s narratives about the war in Ukraine.

The suspect is a woman, a russian citizen, who came to Ukraine in 2007 and settled in Bucha district, Kyiv region.

Initially, she systematically participated in paid anti-vaccination rallies organized by Stremousov in Kyiv. According to the investigation, the woman also maintained close ties with the collaborator’s wife.

After the full-scale invasion, she joined an extensive network of online agitators in Kyiv region, which included over 20 other members. The group systematically disseminated enemy content on controlled Telegram channels and other social media, including those banned in Ukraine.

The offender disseminated propaganda material received from russian supervisors, who coordinated her activity from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region and the Crimea.

During the search of the suspect’s home, the SSU found russian passports, prohibited symbols and a mobile phone, which she used to administer the propaganda group.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators served the woman a notice of suspicion under the Article 436-2.2 of the CCU (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

Court has chosen full-time house arrest as a measure of restraint.

The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region carried out operational and investigative activities under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
