SSU detains organizers of sham referendum in Kherson oblast who threatened with torture for refusal to ‘vote’

The SSU systemically exposes traitors and collaborators in the liberated areas of southern and eastern Ukraine.

In the course of stabilization efforts in the de-occupied areas of Kherson region, the SSU detained another four organizers of russia’s sham referendum on the region’s ‘accession’ to russia.

These are local residents who, when the full-scale invasion began, voluntarily collaborated with the enemy and joined the local occupation administrations.

These individuals were appointed to the ‘district election commissions’ established by the invaders and their task was to fabricate results of the fake plebiscite.

To do this, the collaborators, accompanied by armed ruscists, visited the homes of locals and collected personal data.

Then, people were forced to come to ‘polling stations’ and ‘vote’ in favour of the kremlin.

In case of refusal, representatives of ‘election commissions’ used psychological pressure and threatened with violence and imprisonment in russian torture chambers.

After the liberation of a part of the oblast, the traitors tried to ‘get lost’ in the communities and evade justice.

However, the SSU established the location of each of the suspects and detained them.

SSU investigators have notified the detainees of suspicion of collaboration (Articles 28.2, 111-1.5 of the CCU).

The court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Offices in Kherson and Vinnytsia regions carried out the operation and investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
