SSU detains minor – enemy agent who passed Defense Forces locations in Kharkiv and Dnipro to ruscists

In Kharkiv region, the SSU Military Counterintelligence detained another underage agent of russian special services. He was spying on the locations of the Defense Forces in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The perpetrator is a 17-year-old resident of Lozova, recruited by the occupiers via Telegram. The enemy involved the teenager in criminal activities in exchange for a promise of ‘easy money.’

To carry out russia’s tasks, the young man travelled around the eastern regions on regular buses and recorded military installations on his phone camera.

For example, during one of his reconnaissance sorties, he filmed a military convoy heading to the front line.

The agent also used the pretext of ‘looking for the nearest post office’ when reconnoitering the area near a Ukrainian military building.

After returning home, he prepared a ‘report’ with intelligence for his russian handler.

The occupiers planned to use this data to prepare new strikes on the regions.

The SSU Military Counterintelligence uncovered the traitor, documented his crimes and detained him at his home.

Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of the Defense Forces.

A phone with evidence of working for russian intelligence was seized from the suspect during searches.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion.

The suspect is in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was carried out jointly with SSU investigators in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
