SSU detains mole in Armed Forces who adjusted russian attacks on depots with ammunition and drones

The SSU Military Counterintelligence has exposed another FSB agent in the Defence Forces. He turned out to be the head of the medical unit of a combat brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was recruited by the enemy and who adjusted russian air attacks on three regions of Ukraine at once.

The occupiers used the mole to guide missile and drone strikes on Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Chernihiv regions.

The enemy’s main targets were Ukrainian depots with ammunition and drone systems.

The FSB also hoped to obtain from the agent the coordinates of medical depots and fleets of special vehicles of the Defence Forces, which deliver medical supplies to the front lines.

To fulfil these assignments, the official travelled to military units and logistics bases in northern Ukraine under the cover of service trips.

While at these sites, he marked their locations on Google Maps to provide this data to russia’s federal security service.

In exchange for cooperation, the occupiers offered the agent money and promised to extract him to his relatives in russia.

The SSU Military Counterintelligence uncovered the enemy’s plan, documented the crime, and detained the mole.

Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of the Defence Forces.

According to the investigation, the ruscists recruited the agent through Telegram channels, where he urged Ukrainians to lay down arms before the aggressor state.

The suspect’s smartphone and laptop, which he used to coordinate his actions with his FSB handler, were seized during the search.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
