SSU detains enemy agent who spied on Ukrainian military echelons through ‘video trap’ in nesting box
The SSU Counterintelligence detained another enemy agent in Dnipro. She was spying on military echelons and adjusting ruscist missile and drone strikes on the city.
To track the movement of AFU trains towards the front, the perpetrator set up a ‘video trap’ opposite the railway line.
To do this, she placed a fake birdhouse on a tree, in which she hid a camera with an additional battery.
With the help of the disguised device, russian intelligence services could track the quantity and cargo of military echelons in real time.
The SSU identified the agent at an early stage, documented her crimes and detained her at her home. Action was taken to protect the routes of the Defense Forces.
According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice is a 46-year-old woman from Dnipro, who was looking for ‘easy money’ on Telegram.
In addition to spying on the AFU echelons, she travelled around the area, trying to identify and pass to the occupiers the coordinates of mobile air defense groups defending the frontline city.
A video camera with flash drives, a mobile phone and a SIM card with evidence of the crimes were seized during searches.
SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
