SSU detains FSB agent preparing new russian strikes on Poltava region
The SSU Military Counterintelligence has detained another member of an FSB agent network, exposed in Poltava oblast in November 2024.
At that time, the SSU detained two enemy agents who were adjusting russian attacks on the region.
Their accomplice has been detained now. After the cell was uncovered, she went into hiding and later received a signal from her handler to continue her sabotage activities.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator is a 21-year-old resident of Kremenchuk who was preparing coordinates for russian air strikes.
One of the enemy’s potential targets was the administrative building of a law enforcement agency. To find out if there were any personnel inside, the agent installed a hidden video camera opposite the building with remote access for russian special services.
While preparing the air strike, the occupiers hoped to evade Ukrainian air defenses. To this end, they instructed the traitor to identify combat positions of the AFU radar stations.
The SSU Military Counterintelligence uncovered the agent immediately after her ‘activation’, documented her crimes and detained her at her home.
Simultaneously, the SSU took action to protect the locations of Ukrainian defenders.
Computer equipment and a mobile phone from which the asset reported to her handler were seized during searches. Her FSB handler has been identified by the Service.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Articles 27.2, 28.3, 111.2 of the CCU (complicity in high treason, committed by an organized group, under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out under the procedural supervision of Poltava Region Prosecutor’s Office.
