SSU detains enemy agent guiding russian attacks at targets in two Ukrainian regions and plotting terrorist attack in Kyiv (video)

The SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy agent in Kyiv. The perpetrator provided russia with targeting information to guide their large-scale attacks on Odesa and Dnipro and planned a terrorist attack in Kyiv.

The suspect is an 18-year-old Odesa resident who was recruited by the enemy. In August this year, he directed a russian strike on a logistics terminal in Odesa.

The investigation revealed that he had passed on the coordinates of a critical hub to the ruscists, who subsequently attacked it with jet-powered drones.

Subsequently, acting on russia’s orders, the agent travelled to Kyiv to prepare a terrorist attack. Upon arriving in the capital, he installed a hidden video camera with a power bank opposite the home of a potential victim.

The device was disguised as a juice carton covered in bark.

The russians hoped to use this video trap to track the Kyiv resident’s daily routine and movements.

To download the recorded footage and pass it on to the enemy, the suspect took the camera home.

The enemy asset was detained by the SSU on the eve of the planned transmission of the ‘report’ to russian intelligence.

It has been established that the individual was recruited while seeking ‘easy’ money on Telegram after his dismissal from one of Odesa’s post offices.

While planning the attack on the logistics hub, the agent was also tracking the locations of Ukrainian air defence systems and defence enterprises in the Odesa region.

He also travelled by train to Dnipro, where he reconnoitred the coordinates provided to him by the enemy.

A concealed video camera and a smartphone containing evidence of his actions on behalf of the aggressor state were seized from the detainee during searches.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in the Dnipropetrovsk region, coordinated by the SSU Counterintelligence Department, under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
