SSU detains FSB agent who adjusted russian strikes on Dnipro while working as taxi driver

The SSU Counterintelligence has apprehended another enemy agent in Dnipro. He turned out to be a 38-year-old local taxi driver who was recruited by russia’s federal security service to adjust missile and drone strikes on the city.

The perpetrator prepared coordinates of potential targets for ruscists.

To identify the targets, the agent drove around the city and its surroundings in his car, posing as a taxi driver.

While transporting customers, he recorded the locations with the highest concentration of Ukrainian military vehicles and personnel.

He also tried to reconnoiter the positions of air defense forces so that russian forces could evade them during new attacks on the city.

The Security Service caught the agent red-handed as he was filming the perimeter of a military facility on his phone.

He planned to send the intelligence to his FSB handler via an anonymous chat in a messenger app. However, he did not manage to do so.

SSU investigators informed the detained enemy accomplice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU – high treason, committed under martial law.

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
