SSU detains FSB agent who passed schedules of AFU combat flights in Khmelnytskyi region
In Zhytomyr region, the SSU Counterintelligence has apprehended another enemy agent adjusting russian strikes on Ukraine. He is a 41-year-old local unemployed man who was recruited by russia’s federal security service in February this year.
On russia’s instructions, the agent was to identify and pass to the occupiers the coordinates of the Defense Forces operational airfields.
Another of his tasks was to establish the schedules of take-offs and landings of Ukrainian combat aircraft in order to strike the airfield when the maximum number of aircraft were there.
To do this, the asset set up an observation post on the roof of a private house, where he used binoculars to spy on Ukrainian military aircraft.
The SSU Counterintelligence identified the enemy accomplice and documented his crimes.
After taking action to protect the locations of the Defense Forces, the SSU detained the traitor at his home.
As the investigation established, the individual was recruited by the russian special service via Telegram. The FSB offered him cooperation in exchange for quick money, which he never received.
SSU investigators have now notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Khmelnytskyi region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
