SSU prevents another terrorist attack in Kyiv: teenager recruited by FSB to carry out explosion detained (video)

The SSU Counterintelligence has prevented another terrorist attack plotted by the russian special services in Kyiv. Due to the SSU’s proactive efforts, a 17-year-old FSB agent preparing to blow up an administrative building of a Territorial Recruitment Center has been detained.

According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice is a minor who has been declared suspect of burning cars belonging to military servicemen. The court released him from custody and placed him under house arrest.

Taking advantage of this, he contacted his FSB handler via a messenger app and informed him that he was ready to carry out the tasks.

During the operation, the SSU intercepted information that the teenager had received a new task from russia: to blow up the building of a Territorial Recruitment Center.

To this end, the occupiers sent him the coordinates of a cache containing an improvised explosive device made using plastic explosives.

The agent was tasked to secretly plant the bomb under the walls of a military facility, after which the russian special service planned to remotely detonate it together with their underage accomplice.

The SSU caught the individual in the act when he picked up the IED and was heading to the designated ‘target.’

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators notified the perpetrator of suspicion under Articles 14.1, 28.2, 258.2 of the CCU – preparation of a terrorist act, committed by a group, upon prior conspiracy.

The decision to qualify his actions also under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law) is pending.

The suspect is in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
