SSU documents new crimes of russian propagandist Dmytry Kiselyov and serves him another suspicion notice in absentia

The Security Service of Ukraine has documented new crimes of the sanctioned russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov. According to the investigation, he popularizes russia’s armed aggression, calls for the seizure of Ukraine and justifies russia’s war crimes.

Kiselyov is a member of putin’s media pool, which is why he remains the host of one of the main mouthpieces of moscow propaganda – the news of the week program on the kremlin’s central channel rossiya-1.

For example, he regularly spreads fakes about the internal situation in Ukraine and its international relations.

The propagandist also tries to justify russia’s war against Ukraine, calls for the overthrow of the constitutional order in our country and the seizure of its territory.

These are not his first crimes – the SSU has been regularly documenting his subversive activities since the beginning of the full-scale war.

As a result, in March 2022 SSU investigators notified him in absentia of suspicion of encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability.

Now, based on additional evidence and expert conclusions, the SSU served Dmitry Kiselyov a new suspicion notice in absentia under four Articles of the CCU:

  • 109.3 (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or at seizure of state power, committed with the use of mass media);
  • 110.3 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability, which led to the death of people or other grave consequences);
  • 436 (propaganda of war);
  • 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

Since the criminal is hiding in russia, efforts are underway to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
