SSU exposes russian agent posing as cleaner to spy on Ukrainian military in their homes
The SSU has detained another russian agent in Donetsk region. She is a 54-year-old resident of the frontline town of Druzhkivka, who was recruited by the occupiers and was waiting for the city to be captured.
Following the enemy's instructions, the woman posted advertisements on local Telegram channels offering cleaning services. In this way, she ‘legally’ gained access to the rented homes of Ukrainian military personnel who were fighting on the front lines.
After receiving requests from the defenders, the agent arrived at their homes with cleaning equipment and, under the guise of performing her services, covertly photographed military documents and the servicemen's property.
In addition to this, the suspect attempted to gain the trust of the Ukrainian defenders, whom she then discreetly questioned about their combat positions and assigned missions.
The agent leaked the collected information to a chatbot specially created by the ruscists.
According to findings, the enemy was interested in the personal data and addresses of Ukrainian soldiers to prepare combat and recruitment operations.
SSU officers detained the suspect at home.
During the searches, she was seized of her smartphone used to collect and pass intelligence to russian special services.
SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The enemy accomplice is in custody without the right to bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
