SSU exposes suppliers of medical equipment who deliberately disrupted shipments to military hospitals
The SSU uncovered facts of deliberate disruption of supplies of medical equipment to military hospitals and other health care facilities by enterprises whose ultimate beneficiary is a russian citizen.
The investigators discovered that over 10 interconnected domestic companies specializing in supply of high value medical equipment systematically failed to fulfil their contractual obligations over the past year. It pertains to both supply of equipment and its servicing.
The documented amount of losses from such illegal activity amounts to almost UAH 13 mln (USD 366,000).
It was established that the russian, the actual owner of the companies, and Ukrainian managers were involved in intentional non-fulfilment of contracts.
During the searches, the investigators found and seized seals of enterprises, as well as data carriers and documents with evidence of unlawful activity.
The involved russian citizen (in absentia) and the manager of one of the supplier companies have been notified of suspicion.
The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU National Statehood Protection Department and the National Police investigators carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Podilsk District Prosecutor’s Office.
