SSU uncovers FSB spotter preparing russian missile and drone attack on Odesa

The SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy agent in Odesa. On orders from russia’s federal security service, he was collecting coordinates for a new russian missile and drone attack on the city.

To adjust the combined strike, the enemy recruited a 52-year-old Odessa resident who came to their attention when he posted his calls to capture the region on Odnoklassniki social network.

After recruitment, the agent tracked the positions of radar stations and anti-aircraft missile systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as mobile air defense teams protecting the region’s airspace.

To do this, he drove his car around the city’s districts during air raid alerts and tried to record the work of the air defence.

The perpetrator also photographed defensive fortifications and locations of Ukrainian units on the coast.

The agent passed the collected information to an FSB officer, whose identity the SSU Counterintelligence has already established.

The Security Service detained the suspect and seized his smartphone containing ‘reports’ for the occupiers.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The enemy accomplice is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
