SSU exposes collaborator who gave up at least 23 Ukrainian patriots to enemy in temporarily occupied Kherson region
The SSU has exposed a ‘new batch’ of enemy accomplices who assist ruscists in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region.
Seven of them were notified of suspicion as members of an organized criminal group: they purposefully and in coordination with each other facilitated transfer of Ukrposhta resources to russia.
A separate notice of suspicion was served to a former employee of one of the law enforcement agencies of Kherson region. Following instructions of russian special services, the woman passed data on at least 23 pro-Ukrainian Kherson residents to the enemy.
Having this information, the occupiers conducted searches of their homes, used psychological pressure and violence against them.
In exchange for loyalty, the woman received a position in the so-called ‘military and civil administration of Kherson region’ and is now trying to ‘live up to the trust shown to her’.
As an ‘official’ of the illegal administration, the traitor ensured the organization and holding of the sham referendum in the temporarily occupied territory.
SSU investigators notified her of suspicion of crimes under two Articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- 111.2 (high treason committed under martial law);
- 111-1.1, 111-1.2 (collaboration).
The collaborator is facing severe punishment, up to life imprisonment.
As for the transfer of Ukrposhta assets to the occupiers, the SSU served new notices of suspicion in this case to ex-member of the Opposition Platform – For Life party Volodymyr Saldo, who voluntarily ‘headed’ the occupation regime in Kherson region, his deputy Kateryna Hubareva, as well as former director of Ukrposhta Kherson branch Viktor Firman. After the enemy captured the region, Firman agreed to lead the illegal entity ‘state unitary enterprise Kherson post’.
In the new status, the offender not only illegally performed administrative functions, but also urged locals to cooperate with the enemy and called to fill the ‘vacancies’ under his leadership.
The SSU has collected evidence on another 4 ‘branch officials’, who collaborate with the enemy:
- chief of the so-called ‘federal state unitary enterprise Crimea post’;
- ‘director’ of the so-called HR department in the ‘federal state unitary enterprise Crimea post’;
- chief of the so-called ‘state unitary enterprise Tavria post’;
- employee of the so-called ‘state unitary enterprise Kherson post’.
Currently, all ‘officials’ have been notified of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state committed by an organized group (Articles 28.3 and 111-2.1 of the CCU).
Additionally, Saldo, Hubareva and Firman were served suspicion notices under Articles 28.3 and 111-1.6 of the CCU (collaboration, organizing and holding political events, information activities in cooperation with the aggressor state and/or its occupation administration aimed at supporting the aggressor state, committed in an organized group).
The SSU is documenting the collaborators’ crimes together with the National Police under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office and Kherson Region Prosecutor’s Office.
