SSU exposes collaborator from Mykolaiv region on trying to buy his way out of prison

The SSU Internal Security Directorate prevented an attempt of a kremlin supporter to evade a prison term for collaborating with the enemy.

The offender is a resident of Snihurivka, Mykolaiv region, who, after the town was captured, supported russian occupiers and helped them sell looted property of Ukrainians.

The SSU detained the collaborator during stabilization efforts after the liberation of Mykolaiv oblast.

During the pre-trial investigation, the suspect offered money to the SSU investigator for ‘assistance’ in evading criminal punishment.

After receiving the ‘offer’, the SSU officer immediately reported this to his superiors.

The law enforcement exposed the offender on an attempt to hand over the first part of the bribe.

Based on the documented fact, the collaborator was served a notice of suspicion under Article 369.3 of the CCU (offering, promising or giving an unlawful benefit to an official).

The file of the proceeding will soon be forwarded to court.

The SSU Office in Mykolaiv region exposed the offence jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
