SSU hits Permnaftorgsintez oil refinery and oil pumping station in Perm third time

Carrying out the tasks set by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the SSU Alfa Special Operations Centre has struck the Lukoil-Permnaftorgsintez oil refinery and the Perm line production and dispatch station last night. Both facilities are located more than 1,500 km from the Ukrainian border.

This refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in russia, supplying fuel to both the civilian sector and the russian army. The Perm LPDS is owned by Transneft JSC and is a strategically important hub in russia’s main oil transport system. Oil is distributed in four directions via the station, including to the Perm refinery.

As a result of the SSU’s drone attack on the Permnaftorgsintez refinery, a fire broke out at one of the AVD units, which is a key node in the primary oil refining process. One of the tanks at the oil pumping station was hit.

The Security Service continues to systematically target russia’s oil infrastructure, which is one of the main sources of revenue for the russian budget and funding for the war against Ukraine. Striking such facilities not only reduces the volume of oil processing and transportation, but also destabilises the enemy’s military logistics, complicates the supply of fuel to the occupying troops, and forces the kremlin to divert billions in resources towards the emergency restoration of strategic facilities deep in the rear.
