SSU strikes Belbek airfield, destroying russian equipment worth hundreds of millions

Last night, long-range drones of the SSU’s Special Operations Centre Alpha successfully targeted russian air defence components at the Belbek military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

As a result of targeted strikes by Ukrainian drones, the following were destroyed:

  • two Nebo-SVU long-range radar detection systems (each costing approximately USD 60-100 million);
  • a 92N6 radar, which is part of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system (estimated price for domestic market – USD 30 million, export price – USD 60 million);
  • Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile system (approximate price for the domestic market USD 12 million, export price – USD 19 million);
  • MiG-31 aircraft with a full combat load (approximate price – USD 30-50 million depending on configuration and armament).

The Security Service of Ukraine continues its effective work to strike air defence systems in the Crimea that cover important military installations and logistical facilities of the occupiers. The destruction of components of this echeloned system significantly weakens russia’s defence and military capabilities in the Crimea.
