SSU strikes enemy air defence systems and military airfields in temporarily occupied Crimea

In line with instructions from the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the SSU Special Operations Centre Alfa successfully struck russian air defence systems in the Kerch Strait area and infrastructure at the Saky and Gvardeyskoye military airfields in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

According to preliminary reports, four hangars used to store aircraft were hit at the Saky military airfield as a result of the special operation.

Near Kerch, two components of an S-400 anti-aircraft missile system and two Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems were also destroyed. This is the fourth Pantsir-S1 system that the SSU Alfa unit has destroyed in this area.

The russian occupiers are losing control of Crimea’s airspace. Each destroyed air defence system and damaged military airfield opens up new opportunities for Ukraine to launch further strikes against the aggressor’s military infrastructure. The Security Service will continue to systematically turn Crimea into a territory of constant losses for the russian army until it withdraws from the Ukrainian peninsula.
