The SSU continues to cleanse its own ranks. The SSU Main Directorate for Internal Security jointly with the SBI exposed an official of the agency’s research institution on anti-Ukrainian activities.

The woman justified russia’s full-scale invasion, denied russia’s war crimes and supported the illegal ‘accession’ of the temporarily occupied areas to the aggressor state.

The official tried to present russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine as an ‘internal civil conflict’ and called the facts of destruction of critical infrastructure facilities by ruscists ‘disinformation’.

‘The SSU today employs a team of true patriots who are making a significant contribution to Ukraine’s Victory. It is definitely not a place for supporters of the ‘russian world’. We will continue to pursue the course of cleansing the SSU from traitors of various kinds. They can voice the kremlin’s narratives in court – in order to receive the maximum punishment,’ the SSU Acting Head Vasyl Maliuk noted.

The exposed employee has been served a notice of suspicion under the Article 436-2.3 of the CCU (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants, committed by an official).

Court is to decide on a measure of restraint for the suspect.

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
