SSU hands over new batch of seized assets worth UAH 100 mln to ARMA
The SSU has handed over a new batch of seized property worth over UAH 100 mln (USD 3 mln) to the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).
The following assets are transferred to be managed by the state:
- over 800 kg of silver in bank ingots;
- 6 hectares of land and 3 apartments in Kyiv with a total area of almost 400 square meters;
- hundreds of thousands of cash in USD, UAH and EUR.
The value of this property is over UAH 100 mln (USD 3 mln).
These assets were seized last year after a multi-stage special operation in Kyiv and Kharkiv, when the SSU dismantled a group that transferred money from russia to Ukraine through banned payment systems.
According to investigation, such systems were used by enemy agents to receive funds from their russian handlers for subversive activities against our state.
Experts have carried out relevant examinations and surveys with the confiscated property, which confirmed conclusions of the SSU.
Currently, all property has been transferred to the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).
These assets will fill Ukrainian budget, part of the money will be allocated for the needs of the military.
The operation was carried out by the SSU under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Darnytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office.
