SSU submits to court indictments against 55 russian state duma members who voted for recognition of ‘L/DNR’

The SSU has gathered irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of 55 members of the russian state duma who contributed to unleashing of a full-scale war against Ukraine.

On February 15, 2022, they supported a resolution to appeal to the president of russia to recognize ‘independence’ of the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

On February 22, the russian parliament voted in favour of ratifying the ‘treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance’ between the aggressor state and the terrorist organizations of ‘L/DNR’.

The very next day, on the basis of the adopted agreements, the terrorist leaders appealed to the russian president to provide assistance in repelling the contrived by them military aggression.

On February 24, 2022, russia carried out missile and bomb strikes all over of Ukraine, russian troops invaded in the south, north and east of our country.

In this way, russian MPs contributed to the implementation of the kremlin’s plan to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified state duma members of suspicion of committing encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability (Article 110.3 of the CCU).

The SSU has now completed the investigation and submitted indictments against the state duma deputies to court.

The suspects are facing up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The SSU is acting to bring the offenders to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The SSU Offices in Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytskyi regions carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
