Dear servicemen of the SSU’s Alfa Special Operations Centre, Dear sworn brothers!

Today is a special day: the 32^nd anniversary of the formation of a unit that has become a symbol of efficiency, professionalism, and resilience, embodying the true Ukrainian spirit.

Alfa was formed and grew alongside our country. The unit was founded on the principles of brotherhood, patriotism, and continuous improvement. Thanks to this solid foundation, you were ready for the trials brought upon us by the russian aggression.

The fighters of the Alfa Special Operations Centre were among the first to stop the invaders in 2014. They fought them in the Ukrainian Donbas, defending Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Mariupol and other towns and villages.

Since 2022, the Centre’s servicemen have defended the country on the war’s most challenging fronts. Targets regularly go up in flames in the russian rear, while the number of surviving occupiers on the front line is steadily dwindling, and their damaged equipment is set alight every day.

The unit is responsible for up to 20 per cent of all enemy infantry losses, as well as the destruction of 1,896 tanks, 3,952 artillery systems, 344 multiple launch rocket systems, 649 air defence systems, and hundreds of other pieces of weaponry. Every target hit, every successful strike and every special operation is your contribution to achieving a just peace for Ukraine.

Unfortunately, war comes at a cost. We remember all the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. Their names will remain in our hearts forever. We will do everything in our power to ensure that the enemy is held accountable for the deaths of the finest sons and daughters of the Ukrainian people.

I thank each and every one of you for your service. Together, we stand shoulder to shoulder, defending our nation and its future! Life – to Homeland! Honour – to no one!
