SBU blocks attempts of using Zaporizzhya criminal circles for destabilization (video)
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked in Zaporizzhya region blocked the attempts of the intelligence agencies of the aggressor country to destabilize the situation in Ukraine through criminal groups controlled by “criminal lords” from within Russia.
Special service operatives have established that certain representatives of Russian criminal circles are coordinating the activities of Melitopol, Berdyansk and Primorsky organized groups involved in grave and especially grave crimes.
According to the plans of the Russian intelligence, the “criminal lords”, via the supervised Ukraine-based gangs should have intensified the criminal situation, in particular, by committing resonant crimes to destabilize the situation in the region.
During the authorized investigations, law enforcers found in the residences of the criminals: a reactive antitank grenade RPG-22, two Kalashnikov assault rifles, three grenades F-1, three revolver guns, a Makarov gun, seven armored vests, a pile of different-caliber ammo and unregistered unknown automatic and hunting weapons. The officers also seized phones, computer equipment with materials confirming the connection of the criminals with representatives of the Russian Federation, documents of “DNR” terrorist organization.
Removed items have been submitted for examination.
Within the framework criminal proceedings opened under Part 3 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the issue of serving a notice of suspicion to 10 suspects is being decided.
The special operation was conducted jointly with the Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office.
