SBU reveals Kyiv firm selling Russian software in temporarily occupied territories
The SBU officers revealed Kyiv commercial structure illegally selling Russian software ‘1C’ in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas.
The law enforcers established that the management of the Kyiv representative office of the Russian producer of the program made a number of agreements with enterprises and dealers who work in so-called DNR/LNR about supplying and providing technical support of the product. In the process of searches in the Kyiv office of the businessmen the SBU operatives revealed documents that prove the facts of illegal sale of this software to the temporarily occupied territories.
The SBU experts recorded that administration, update and technical support of these programs was conducted from the territory of the Russian Federation with the use of a remote access to the equipment of the Kyiv representative office of the Russian company. According to their conclusions, another fact of the presence of concealed control of the RF secret services over the situation in the state and private sectors of the Ukrainian economy and control over enterprises located in the territories of so-called LNR/DNR was revealed.
The pretrial investigation is under way in the framework of a criminal case under Part 2 Article 359 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The additional qualification under Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being planned.
