SBU materials help to serve notice of suspicion to corrupt paramedic of penal colony
SBU officers uncovered a corrupt paramedic of a medical unit in one of the correctional colonies in Kyiv Region.
Special service operatives found that the medic demanded money from convicts for the illegal transfer of illegal objects into the territory of the regime facility. Every such “service” was valued by the criminal starting from UAH 1,000 (circa USD 40), depending on items illegally supplied to the correctional institution.
Law enforcers detained the paramedic during the receipt of another unlawful benefit for the transfer of a mobile phone to one of the convicts.
The offender was served a notice of suspicion in committing the crime stipulated by Part 1 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being settled. The investigative and operative actions on bringing to responsibility other persons involved in the illegal activities are under way.
The detection operation was conducted jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office.
