SBU detains one of participants of preparation of so-called “referendum” in 2014 in Lugansk region
SBU officers involved in the Joint Force operation detained one of the participants of preparation and implementation of the so-called “2014 referendum” in Luhansk region, who was on the wanted list.
The SBU operatives have established that in May 2014 a resident of Novodruzhesk voluntarily joined the so-called “election commission” of the pseudo-referendum. After the city was liberated by the anti-terrorist operation forces, the woman ran away to Russia, where she had been hiding from justice for over four years.
In June, SBU investigators served the suspect (in absentia) a notice of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and declared her wanted.
Law enforcers detained the criminal at one of the border crossing points on her attempt to enter our country for personal matters.
The detainee received custody as a measure of restraint. The urgent investigative actions are under way.
